Hosting Club : Yacht Club de La Grande Motte

The Yacht Club of La Grande Motte, created in 1967 on the occasion of the inauguration of the port of La Grande Motte, is the first club in Occitanie, one of the most active clubs in the Mediterranean.

The club's experience and track record, associated with the dynamism of its management and the support of the city of La Grande Motte, have made it possible to develop nautical activities in La Grande Motte and to organize major sporting events linked to the sailing practice.

The Event : Nacra 15 World championship

The Nacra 15 2021 World Championship will bring together around 70 young crews from 12 different nations in La Grande Motte in early November.

The Nacra 15 sailboat is built by Nacra. This double-handed catamaran, rigged as a fractional sloop, designed by naval architect Morelli & Melvin, is 4.70 m long. The Nacra 15 is the young international support, it is a dynamic class, which is based on a modern and efficient boat.
